Online jobs are becoming more popular because of the ease of access and comfort from working from your own living room.

Doesn’t matter if you stay at home with the Kids or work full time and want to earn a little more cash , these websites are very low maintenance and you can finish as much or little as you want. The only thing you need technically need is a laptop. Sometimes a Cell phone or even a tablet but almost everything can be done on the laptop.

In this article I want to touch on the Best online jobs for extra cash that I have personally tried and vetted throughout this year and would be good choices for 2020.

I compiled a short list of sites that I considered based on their ease of sign up, how long it takes to complete tasks , was i paid in cash or not, and whether or not tasks were readily available. 

I did not take this research lightly and only added products I have personally tried and received payment personally from.

Amazon Mechanical Turk (Mturk)

This is Amazon’s own website that contains a lot of small tasks called Hit’s include anything from conducting simple data validation and research to more subjective tasks like survey participation, content moderation,etc. 

The more Hit’s you complete , you will be eligible for better projects that potentially pay more. There some other metrics like Hit Approval % , and overall total number of Hits 

Most of these Hit’s will pay pennies but you do receive bonuses sometimes based on the description of the asking tester. The Higher end Hit’s could earn you $15 – $60 but the duration of those tasks are usually much longer and more complex.

It’s estimated that you can make a couple hundred dollars extra per month depending on the number of Hit’s you have competed and the quality. Due to this , I found this to be the least useful and productive for my time out of all the sites I have tried .

Prolific.co

This is another website that is based on product testing and surveys that I have personally used. The idea is based on your demographics and specific income or interest you would receive surveys that would be targeted towards you.

The articles range from five minutes to some times 20 minutes .The longer the survey the more pay you get but it won’t typically be more than $10-$15.

One issue I noticed is that surveys are not readily available. The good news is that you receive an email as soon as one is available. The other issue with this website is that it pays in GBP’s so it would convert slightly different to US dollars.

Inbox Dollars 

This is a website that also has you answering surveys but in return instead of cash you receive gift cards and coupons.

From their website “Most online surveys for money pay from $0.50 to $5.00 and take 3 minutes to 25 minutes to complete. There are some online surveys that pay $10, $20, or even more if you match the demographic profile they are looking for

It is almost the same as the other two but personally I did not prefer to have gift cards or scratch offs ,nonetheless I got paid my work but personally I would’ve preferred the actual cash better.

Respondant.io

You apply to participate in studies that you think are a good fit for. Respondents are not paid to take the qualifying survey.

The researcher/sponsor of the study reviews responses and sends invitations to those they think are the best fit.

If you receive an invitation to participate, you choose a time that suits you from those made available by the researcher or complete the moderated test.

After you have completed the study, you are paid the advertised amount less a $1 or 5%, whichever is higher, fulfillment fee.

This means if a research pays $150 , you subtract %5 from the total and get paid $142.5 .

Just Like Prolific.co , This website might not have studies readily available but between these two websites I had more than enough studies i can complete after filling my demographic information. 

Usertesting.com

This is a website in which different companies will want you to record yourself testing out specific sites and voicing your opinion based on a specific set of instructions you need to follow . 

They require you to record your voice and speak your train of thoughts out loud while you are testing the website and it typically does not take more than 10 minutes.

Most importantly, you have to be constantly talking out loud in a clear voice and in a quiet room so that your words are completely understood.

It is a good idea to do a quick Youtube search on how to guides and take a look our channel while your at it and subscribe for more video content, End of plug.

But seriously , It is a good idea Because the qualifier test that allows you to actually take tests because it shows you exactly how you should conduct these tests and what to avoid. 

I personally enjoyed this website the most and every test typically paid about $10 for 10 minutes work so I found the most value in my time getting straight up cash from this website.

This is the same as user testing.com I personally did not find any difference between the two.

The idea between these two websites is that you have a limited amount of tests available so what I did was when one of the websites did not have any available tests I switch to the other to see if I have anything open for me.

They also take your demographics to issue surveys based on your interests. I did not see any privacy issues with both of these websites even though they do require access to your Microphone on the device you use to complete these tests ( Laptop , Tablet , Cellphone).
